The Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information, and advocacy.
  The mission of the Reeve-Irvine Research Center is to find new treatments for spinal cord injury through the collaborative research and educational efforts of prominent scientists and clinicians both at the University of California, Irvine and around the world.
  The Mission of the NextSteps Foundation is to help in the funding and implementation of new cutting-edge technology that will permit rapid medical diagnosis and treatment of paralysis.
  The goal of unite2fight is to unite the international spinal cord injury community to cure paralysis through advocacy, education, and support for research.

 

Resource Assistance

 

The QUAD Foundation is committed to assist and support survivors of spinal cord injury resulting in quadriplegic paralysis. The foundation actively works to improve their quality of life through resource assistance, education, rehabilitation and research. We also strive to provide a support center for survivors and their families

Better Living

 

Life Rolls On produces adaptive surfing, skating and snowboarding programs which empower paraplegics and quadriplegics to demonstrate that anything is possible despite paralysis. All programs are provided at no-cost to participants and, while our primary mission is to serve young people with spinal cord injury, no one challenged by mobility is ever turned away and people of all ages are welcome.
  Paralyzed Veterans of America is here to help veterans with disabilities, their families and their caregivers gain easy access to everything they need to thrive– from expert help to cut through government red tape to secure earned military benefits to the specialized help to secure a good job and career.
  Get involved with a sport through San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation — even with SCI!
  Challenged Athletes Foundation is a great grant writing program for athletic equipment.
  Briana Walker is a young woman who was injured in a car accident. Today she is a speaker, author, model, and dancer.

Assistance Dogs

 

Tender Loving Canines Assistance Dogs, Inc. (TLCAD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide custom-trained dogs to individuals in San Diego County whose lives could be made better by being paired with an Assistance Dog.
  Paws’itive Teams trains service dogs to assist mobility-limited persons in achieving greater independence and, through educational presentations and animal assisted therapy, enhances the lives of persons living in San Diego County.
  The mission of Next Step Service Dogs is to empower positive change for veterans with invisible disabilities such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) through the use of expertly-trained service dogs.
  Assistance Dogs International, Inc. is a coalition of not-for-profit organizations that train and place Assistance Dogs. The purpose of ADI is to improve the areas of training, placement, and utilization of Assistance Dogs as well as staff and volunteer education.
  International Association of Assistance Dogs is a non-profit, cross-disability organization representing people partnered with guide, hearing and service dogs.
  Pet Partners (formerly Delta Society) is an international 501(c)(3)non-profit organization that helps people live healthier and happier lives by incorporating therapy, service and companion animals into their lives.

Spiritual Support

 

Joni and Friends was established in 1979 by Joni Eareckson Tada, who at 17 was injured in a diving accident, leaving her a quadriplegic. Since its inception, Joni and Friends has been dedicated to extending the love and message of Christ to people who are affected by disability whether it is the disabled person, a family member, or friend. Their objective is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of this group of people in practical ways.
